Mary has been cooking for over 30 years starting with her mother baking cookies and cakes in Saint John, New Brunswick. She has always loved to bake and experience new creative ways to make mouthwatering delicacies. While at University, Mary and her friend started a catering business and later launched the Florentynes. The Florentynes became an instant hit with friends and family.
After attaining a degree in Education in Home Economics, a Cordon Blue certificate and a Masters in Marketing Management, Mary went to work for companies specializing in consumer packaged goods. After 15 years of spearheading successful marketing strategies, product launches, and advertising and promotional campaigns, Mary and her husband Roger decided to launch Mary’s Gourmet.
The first product was the Florentynes, followed by Raspbertynes and Almondynes and most recently their line of Toffees. Today Mary sells over 16 wonderful varieties of chocolate gifts.
